Reelspan publishes a Postman collection of the whole API at https://reelspan.com/postman.json. It is built from the live OpenAPI spec, so it always matches the API: one folder per area (Publishing, Scheduling, Queue, Profiles, Webhooks, Media, Analytics and more), and every request with its path variables, query parameters and body fields.
Import the collection
- In Postman, select Import.
- Paste
https://reelspan.com/postman.jsonand confirm.
The collection appears as Reelspan API. To pick up endpoints added later, import the link again and replace the old copy.
Set your API key
The collection sends Authorization: Bearer {{apiKey}} on every request, so you set the key once:
- Create a key under Developers → API keys in the dashboard. A test key (
rs_test_…) runs every check without posting anything. - Open the collection, go to Variables, and paste the key as the value of
apiKey. - Save.
| Variable | Default | What it is |
|---|---|---|
baseUrl |
https://api.reelspan.com |
The API host; every request URL starts with it |
apiKey |
empty | Your Reelspan API key |
Try Account → Check the API key and read the account plan and usage (GET /v1/me) first: it answers with your plan and usage when the key works.
Environments
To switch between a test key and a live key without editing the collection, use environments. A variable set in the active environment takes priority over the collection's.
- Select Environments → + and name it
Reelspan test. AddapiKeywith yourrs_test_…key, type secret. - Create a second one,
Reelspan live, with yourrs_live_…key. - Pick the environment in the top-right selector before you send a request.
With the test environment active, posts go through every check and show as done, but nothing reaches the networks. See Test mode.
Send a post
Open Publishing → Publish a video to one or more networks (POST /v1/posts/video). The body is form-data with every field listed; user, platform[] and video are on, and the optional fields start switched off, so tick only the ones you need:
user: your profile, for examplemy-brand.platform[]: a network id such astiktok. Duplicate the row for each further network.title: the caption (switch it on; YouTube needs it).video: choose a file, or change the row's type to Text and paste a public URL.
To try a post without a connected account, use sandbox as the network. For text, Publish a text-only post (POST /v1/posts/text) takes JSON. The response holds a request_id; paste it into Status of a publish request, per platform (GET /v1/posts/status) to see each network's result. See Post a video and Post status.
Postman's Code panel turns any request into cURL, JavaScript, Python and more, which is a quick way to start an integration. For Node.js and Python, the SDKs do the same with less code.
